About Wren Manor

Wren Manor wakes you in a locked bedroom with three keys somewhere in the house and one front door between you and the road. The flashlight is your only real light, and it cuts both ways: it shows you doors, keys and corners, but it also makes you easier for the creature to see. Sound carries. Sprinting, slamming doors and moving in the open all pull it toward you, while a crouched walk and a dark room keep you off its path. Wardrobes are the last resort — climb in before it notices, not while it is watching. Three difficulty levels change its speed, hearing and sight, and Nightmare leaves you with two lives instead of three.

How to play

  • WASD moves and the mouse looks around; Shift sprints, C crouches and F switches the flashlight.
  • E opens doors, picks up keys and climbs into a wardrobe; press it again to get out.
  • Collect three keys, then reach the front door to escape.
  • Esc pauses. On touch screens the left side moves, the right side looks, and the buttons handle use, run, crouch and light.

Tips

  • Sprinting and door slams are loud. Walk or crouch when the creature is close.
  • The flashlight makes key hunting easier but also gives you away; switch it off when you hear footsteps.
  • Hide before it sees you. A wardrobe entered in plain sight is a trap, not a hiding place.
  • Easy is the right first run: Normal already gives the creature a longer sight line and sharper hearing.
