Wen is a wandering exorcist-scholar. Lian is a lantern spirit bound to the Rootmother, an ancient tree that feeds on lost souls. When the Elder Tree tears her underground, Wen follows her into the Hollow with a blade, a handful of fire talismans and a lantern that still remembers her.
Twelve stages, five enemy types and a three-phase boss. Cut vines before they drag Lian under, burn thorn walls, dash through rot brutes, then spend your jade on the blade, your health and the talismans before the roots come for you.
How to play & tips
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys or WASD, or with the on-screen stick on a phone.
- Tap the sword button to attack. Chain light and heavy hits into a combo.
- Throw fire talismans at range — they burn the thorn walls blocking the path.
- Dash to slip through attacks; it has a short window where nothing can hit you.
- Lantern Burst heals you and pushes enemies back. It charges as you fight.
Tips
- Act I: cut the vines grabbing Lian the moment they appear. If they reach the ground, she is gone.
- Dash through a rot brute's swing, not away from it — the recovery is where you get hit.
- One talisman kills a ghost-fire wisp. Save the sword for treants.
- Jade carries between stages. Upgrade the blade first; damage ends fights faster than health survives them.
- The Rootmother has three phases. Learn the tell for each before spending your heals.
